In 1955, the company's founder Yoshio Arai opened and patented the seal’s “Suction Effect.” Arai found out that seals prone to leak oil in standard conditions yet when a secure seal is reached, centripetal forces provide the “suction effect” which enables the seal to suck oil without leaking. The company is also known for the products made of fluoropolymer resin (Arflon) that is molded with the rubber lip tip to decrease the frictional strength of sliding parts and make the products perfect to operate in severe conditions implying rotation at a high speed and lack of lubrication.
