This thermocouple installs in the exhaust stream, preferably 1-2” from the exhaust port, 2-3” before the turbine inlet, or in the header collector, and supplies exhaust gas temperature information to the X-WiFi Wideband UEGO Controller and EGT Monitor. This information, when used along with the data from the wideband UEGO sensor, can be used to tune an engine for best power and prevent lean conditions which could cause engine damage.
The kit includes the thermocouple, wiring harness, compression mount, heat shrink tubing, and installation instructions. It’s backed by a limited 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
John Concialdi and Bob Sullivan co founded AEM in 1987 as a tuning performance shop in Compton California. Both men had extensive technical backgrounds in engines and engine airflow, and in a short time AEM became the go-to company for performance modifications.
