Universal Boost Control Solenoid Kit (30-2400) by AEM®. This is the same solenoid that is supplied with the TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller. The controller can be adjusted to set the solenoid’s duty cycle, which in turn controls the wastegate and boost pressure. The solenoid can be used with either internal or external wastegates, and comes with harness and adapters to connect to wastegate/turbocharger.

The boost control solenoid is how the TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller manipulates the wastegate to control boost pressure. The controller can change the solenoid’s duty cycle, to pulse the solenoid and control the pressure going to the wastegate. A higher duty cycle results in a higher boost pressure.
The solenoid can be used with either internal or external wastegates. It comes with wiring harness, hose barb adapters, sintered muffler, and installation instructions. John Concialdi and Bob Sullivan co founded AEM in 1987 as a tuning performance shop in Compton California. Both men had extensive technical backgrounds in engines and engine airflow, and in a short time AEM became the go-to company for performance modifications.
