2017 Ford Fusion Custom Headlights

The install did not go as easy as instructions explained. The seal on my factory light housing was almost impossible to clean out, it was harder than the actual housing material and no matter how many times I put it back into oven it would not soften at all. At one one point I put housing in oven as described but with concern to the fact of sticking housing in an oven that is a. Normal oven size, it did not fit at all and I put temperature a bit lower because I wad scared of doing damage to the assembly and kept checking on it every 3 - 5mins. I ended up destroying the light housing to a point, where it was not usable anymore and it being my only vehicle I had to try and find a used light assembly online and wait for delivery which took additional 7 days, and after setting up oven at even a lower temp. And pulling housing out every 3 mins I finally separated the housing. And needed to use a Drexel very carefully to grin and cut away the hard old seal that was almost impossible to differ from the housing material now with almost the problems, I ran into the housing separation methods are far from the same as to other vehicles. (I've been a mechanic since 1977 and have done my share of everything on vehicles and this was by far the most stressful tedious and frustrating project I have ever done on a car. I rebuild engines, transmissions, can completely strip a car down to not one bolt left on it and 6 months later put the car completely back together perfect. So my ability to work with these head lamp assembly were not the issue!
