It's a well known fact that cooler, denser air contains more oxygen, and more oxygen in your engine's air intake charge means better combustion and more power. Hot air contains fewer oxygen molecules, and if your engine is fed hot air there will be less oxygen and therefore less power. Yet that's exactly what your engine gets with the factory air intake system! The solution to this problem is to install an Injen SP Series Cold Air Intake System.
Injen starts the power improvement process by positioning an Injen EA Nanofiber dry air filter behind the front bumper. Here, this free-flowing filter can take in the coolest air possible and funnel it through smooth, mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum alloy tubing. Injen designs and repeatedly tests its systems for each application to make sure they're the least restrictive, all the way to the throttle body. So, instead of power-robbing hot air squeezing through a restrictive air filter and intake duct, your engine is taking in huge quantities of cool air surging through free-flowing tubing. The result is increased horsepower and torque, and improved performance.
But unlike other cold air intake systems, Injen's patented MR (Mega Ram) Technology attains this increased intake airflow and performance while maintaining a safe air/fuel ratio. Injen steps down the diameter of the intake tube where the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor mounts, enabling the sensor to detect airflow within established parameters. The engine control computer can then maintain the proper air/fuel ratio and optimize horsepower and torque. Simply put, MR Technology tunes the intake system to avoid the necessity of recalibrating the MAF sensor, and prevents your engine from running too lean or too rich. With MR Technology, Injen created "The World's First Tuned Intake System", delivering optimum performance with a factory safe air/fuel ratio.
The SP system is carefully engineered, with CNC machined brackets and adapters, to ensure an exact fit. Installation can be accomplished with simple hand tools and everything necessary for installation is supplied, including comprehensive instructions. The SP Series Cold Air Intake System is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.178.60 285.00

It sounds great just wish it was the full pipe instead of just hooking up to the existing intake. Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(4.8)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY| Posted by James | (Ridgefield, WA)
This CAI sounds and looks great. The only down side is you only receive the down pipe and a filter not a full system which is shown in the picture. Took about an hour to install due to the removal of the bumper. Be careful when removing the bumper because there is an electrical line that connects to some fins behind the grill. I'm not sure if all the sub models have them but the GT does. Another note is if you have the Mopar body kit you will have to remove most of the plastic underneath the engine bay. Don't remove the pins around the front lip!Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(4.3)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY| Posted by Zach | (Hammonton, NJ)
Looks great and sounds better adds acceleration as promised overall worth the buy.Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY| Posted by Tyrell | (Modesto, CA)
Only bad thing is for install I had to wait a couple hours before I could touch anything because my engine was to hot to touch. And there were no instructions to take off the front bumper. Other than that sounds great, and looks great. Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY| Posted by Samuel | (Rosemead, CA)
This product is fantastic. It makes our car roar. It turns more heads than every. You can feel the difference in acceleration and take off. I love how fast the car is now. Looks absolutely stunning. Had it installed at a nearby shop for $60. Love it.Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(3.8)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY| Posted by Brian | (Brampton, ON)

It took only 15 minutes to install. Quite surprised actually. Not mechanically inclined. Almost any one should be able to install. Looks great.4 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(4.8)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY| Posted by Garret | (Mechanicsvlle, MD)
Received product promptly on the delivery date, and installed on Saturday. The intake looks amazing, the polished Chrome model. The instructions are fairly well put together with the exception of the explanation of Bumper Removal. The instructions make it seem like an easy 5 minute job to remove the bumper, but in reality it wound up taking 30-45 minutes, as removing each wheel was required in order to access mounting bolts. The pictures provided in the instructions were sufficient, and after the bumper was off, installing the intake was as simple as could be. After installation was complete, the sound of the diverter valve could clearly be heard. Performance gains were noticeable, and my fuel economy increased to just under 35 mpg. Overall review - 5 Star product, highly recommend.4 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:
