The drops of water in fog reflect the light back at you when you turn on regular headlights, which doesn’t help much when you’re trying to grope your way through a fog bank. Fog lights are mounted closer to the ground and aimed downward to direct their light at the roadway, reducing the glare created from reflected light. Installation

Warranty

Any Spyder products that are found to be defective are covered for a period of 1 year following the original purchase date.

Spyder is not responsible for damage caused by bulbs not supplied with their units. Please use the bulbs provided with Spyder products to complete installation. If bulbs are not provided, please transfer your OEM bulbs. Installing aftermarket bulbs such as LEDs or HIDs will void the warranty.

Spyder will warrant that your product will be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use by the original consumer purchaser for ninety days from the original purchase date. This limited warranty does not cover any damage caused by improper installation, road hazard, accident, racing, misuse, alteration or normal wear and tear. This limited warranty does not cover vehicles used in racing or competition or vehicles with settings other than those set forth in the original manufacturer's specifications.

Cost of installation and labor is not covered in the warranty. Spyder shall not be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages and/or injuries from the result of use of its parts. Spyder reserves the right to send replacement components for warranty/defective issues in the field.

Please note that manufacturing defects are subject to the terms and conditions of Spyder's warranties.

Stainless Steel Limited Lifetime Warranty

Spyder offers the original purchaser a limited lifetime warranty from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover shipping damage, misuse, mishandling, road hazards, product modifications, or discoloration. This warranty does not cover cost for installation, removal, labor or shipping. This warranty only applies to new products installed on the original vehicle.

If you live in an area that uses salt or other harsh chemicals for snow and ice removal, it is very important that you keep your bars clean. If you allow salt and other harsh snow and ice removing chemicals to stick to your bars, this may cause your bars to rust prematurely and will void your warranty (warranty will be voided under product neglect). Keep your step bars, grille guards, and bull bars clean of salt and other snow removing chemicals. DO NOT use any chemicals, even those meant to protect the product, on the product without consulting Spyder first. Failure to do so will void your warranty.

Spyder's warranty specifically excludes defects resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, modification, improper installation, unauthorized repairs, submersion, theft, vehicle crash, or by any other type of impact. In no event shall Spyder be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, consequential damages, incidental damages, or damages for loss of use, loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, loss of time, inconvenience, or other losses) arising out of the use, misuse, or inability to use a Spyder product. Spyder reserves the right to change the design of its product without any obligation to modify any previous product.

Black Powder Coat Warranty

Spyder offers the original purchaser a 3-year warranty from defects in material and workmanship on all powder coat finishes from the original date of purchase. This warranty does not cover shipping damage, misuse, mishandling, road hazards, or product modifications. This warranty does not cover cost for installation, removal, labor or shipping. This warranty only applies to new products installed on the original vehicle.

Bad Product

Spyder® - Factory Style Fog Lights

Not a product I would expect from a big name company like Spyder! First set came in broke. No big deal, CARiD fantastic to deal with! Got another set sent to me no charge. Second set was good for a couple weeks, now has gotten condensation behind the lens and now always looks foggy. Extremely disappointed.

Good Product. Would Recommend

These fit my Silverado perfectly. The quality seems a bit better than the OEM lights it replaced, and the smoked color looks awesome. My only complaint is that it doesn't tell you when you order them that the type of the bulb is different than the factory. For most situations, this won't matter because the lights include new bulbs and the wiring harness for a super easy install. The only time you would run into trouble is if you have a nice set of bulbs that you wish to keep from the old fog lights. The new type of bulb is much better than the factory anyway, so like I said, for most people it won't matter. Great product and easy install. Little trick for the install is to stick a socket head over the snap in fittings to push in the locking mechanism when removing the old fog lights. It will save your fingers if you are trying to DIY. This may not make sense now, but it will when you peek under the bumper.

Smoke Fog Lights

These look great on my blacked out Chevy! For installation, they plugged right in, although removing the old ones was a bit difficult, you just need to use three 10mm sockets to push the locking mechanisms in, than just push the stock one out, than you just push the new one in.
