Long Tube Headers are the ultimate in bolt on exhaust product for your late model Mustang providing rich exhaust tone and incredible power gains over stock. MBRP headers are also a critical "must have" supporting modification for any who wish to add additional power adders to their Mustang such as Nitrous, Supercharger, or aftermarket Camshafts.
MBRP builds all of their exhaust system components to fit right the first time, with mandrel-bent tubing that maintains a constant diameter through the bends for the best exhaust flow possible. More flow means less backpressure for the engine to fight, which in turn translates to improved fuel economy. And improved scavenging means less leftover waste gas in the cylinders when the intake stroke starts, which means more power. Add in the flow restriction in the catalytic converters, and you’re on the road to making some serious power. This Y-pipe has welded-in bungs to take the OEM oxygen sensors, but the CHECK ENGINE light will probably come on even if they’re in use. That brands this part for race use only.
Fifteen years ago, MBRP® started in the exhaust business by introducing the B&B Eliminator, a silencer that quickly became the best-selling snow machine muffler of all time. Exhaust system technology being as universal as it is, they soon branched off into cars, Jeeps, and diesel trucks, with amazing success. One of their secrets has been the practice of making as many universal-fit kits as possible. A couple of extra parts in the box means that a single kit might fit a number of different wheelbase pickup trucks, for instance. Reducing complexity in ordering is better for them, better for their distributors, and a great benefit for their customers, who are more likely to be able to find a kit that fits their vehicle on hand. In addition, they go to great lengths to make sure their systems fit properly every time. Careful attention to design and fabrication delivers a system that doesn’t need customization with a hammer to fit properly before the car or truck comes off the lift.
