Subaru WRX 2010, Boa Roof Bike Rack by Yakima®. The Boa is Yakima's most affordable fork bike mount rack, designed to fit larger crossbar spreads of 32" to 50" and featuring a separate pivoting wheel tray. It attaches to round and square crossbars using mounting bolts in the front (a hex wrench is included), and a snap around mount in the rear with carriage bolt and hex key, but it also works great with MegaWarrior or LoadWarrior Cargo Baskets. The Boa can carry most bikes up to 35 lbs. with a standard 100mm x 9mm quick release front hub. It features a lockable skewer design (SKS lock core sold separately) with one-handed adjustment, which can easily be manipulated from one side of the vehicle, and a pull strap to secure the rear wheel. The Boa comes with everything required for installation, including detailed instructions.

    Warranty

    Warranty
Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

A fork bike mount rack provides the most stable form of bike transport because the skewer firmly holds the fork in place. And since there's no contact with the frame with this type of carrier, you won't have to worry about damage to your bike's frame or finish. The bike is also much lighter and easier to lift onto the roof without the weight of the front wheel. Many also think a fork mount is more aerodynamic than an upright rack. Now you can have all the benefits of a fork bike mount for very little cash with the Boa Roof Bike Rack.

The Boa features a 2-piece head that clamps around the front crossbar and is secured with 3 bolts using the included hex wrench, and a separate pivoting wheel tray that is attached using a carriage bolt installed in the bottom of the tray, a snap around mount around the crossbar, and a hex key to secure the mount. The Boa fits crossbar spreads of 32" to 50", and can also be mounted to MegaWarrior or LoadWarrior Cargo Baskets. Installation to the cargo basket requires that the included sleeve be installed onto the crossbar before the head is attached.

Most bikes up to 35 lbs. with standard 100mm x 9mm quick release front hubs can be quickly and easily mounted to the Boa, and it's compatible with most disc brakes. Install the cover over the head. It will be secured in place by the skewer and prevent theft of the rack by obscuring the mounting bolts. Insert the skewer through the head, attach the quick release lever and load the bike, with the fork dropouts resting on the skewer and the rear wheel in the wheel tray. Adjust the knob on the quick release lever and close the cover; the adjustment knob and lever can be manipulated from one side of the vehicle, a big advantage when the rack is mounted on a tall vehicle. Secure the rear wheel to the tray with the ratchet tensioned strap; the tray can be pivoted on the bar if necessary to accommodate the wheel. Yakima's fork adapters (sold separately) can be used to transport bikes with thru axles.

An SKS (Same Key System) lock core (sold separately) can be installed in the skewer cover to lock the bike to the rack. Comprehensive, illustrated instructions are included with the Boa Roof Bike Rack, and it's covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

If the original retail purchaser is unable to contact the Yakima dealer, or the dealer is not able to remedy the defect, the original retail purchaser should contact Yakima for shipping instructions.

Upon contacting Yakima directly, a Yakima technician will provide the original retail purchaser with appropriate instructions for returning the product to Yakima. The original retail purchaser will be responsible for the cost of mailing the product to Yakima. In order to receive any remedy under this warranty (either from a Yakima dealer, or from Yakima directly), proof of purchase in the form of an original purchase invoice or receipt is strictly required.
