Universal Quick Draw Ratchet System by Thule®. Quickly and easily secure the bow and stern of your kayak to your vehicle with this ratcheting rope system. Much more effective and secure than tying knots or using bungee cords.

Whether your valuable gear arrives at its destination depends upon how well it's secured. Thule provides state-of-the-art rooftop transport systems for a variety of watersports equipment, but gear like kayaks that extend out in front of and behind the roof, should also be secured properly at the bow and stern. Attachment methods like plain rope or bungee cords can loosen up, and you may not realize how loose until it's too late.

The Thule Quick Draw Ratchet System can apply just the right amount of tightness to secure your gear without damaging it. And should the rope develop some slackness during the trip, it can be made taut again with just a tug on the free end of the rope.

The Quick Draw hook can be attached directly to the boat, or use the included attachment strap for clearance and to prevent damage. Attach the other hook to underneath the bumper or at another convenient point on the undercarriage. A Thule Hood Loop Strap or Quick loop Strap can also be used as an attachment point. Once the hooks are properly attached, pull on the free end of the rope until the proper tightness is attained. When you reach your destination and you're ready to unload, just press the lever located above the ratchet spool to release the tension.
