With the Remin exterior kit you can add extra chrome or carbon fiber accents to the places left unattended by the manufacturer. The Remin kits are based on measurements taken on each individual vehicle model by the company's measuring team. These measurements are the base for the computer assisted design creating digital patterns that govern the CNC laser cutters producing the kits. Before any kit is commissioned for production, each piece is test fitted to an actual vehicle, to make sure that the fit is perfect and that the piece is easy to place. The CNC laser cutters ensure that every kit is cut to perfection with clean cuts. The advanced color match system ascertains that the factory match pieces get the very same pattern and color tone as the factory installed trim. The trim pieces are mounted with 3M automotive grade adhesive backing for secure permanent attachment. All trim parts, except the real metal parts, are coated in a scratch resistant, UV protecting polyurethane clear coat. This is a coating that never peels and keeps the color of the underlying material intact. With a Remin dash kit you will never have the problems encountered with traditional wood or wood imitation kits, where wood colors bleach and the protective coating peels. Ease of Installation Price/Value Quality "The trim kit makes my Mazda 3 look amazing! Everyone who gets into my car is shocked and amazed -- even the mechanics at the Mazda dealer. I opted for the real wood, and I am glad I did. You can see seams in some of the larger pieces, but that is the nature of real wood. The installation was a bit tricky, particularly around the center console, but with patients anyone can do it!"

If you can do it yourself, do it. Just make sure to clean the surface of the dash really good before applying these. It takes a while, but it's better that they don't fall off later."

These other kits were thin, custom moulded, hard/rigid plastic, so I was surprised to see how thick the pieces for this kit were. - The pieces were difficult to remove from the packaging without removing the adhesive backing or twisting them unneccessarily. (be patient and take your time). - The upside is that these pieces were flexible and VERY easy to install. (but beware - be sure of your placement, because once contact with the surface is made, you're stuck and have absolutely no wiggle room, unlike other kits with more liquid adhesive where you have some time to adjust and fine tune the placement.) - There were way more pieces than I cared for, so I did not end up installing all of them. Also felt it was missing key pieces for the front door handles and steering wheel, which perhaps would have been possible with rigid, moulded pieces. - One of the main dash pieces that fits around the temperature controls comes in two halves - this is a piece that easily could/should have come as one. - Once installed, the surface of the pieces is still a little sticky and somewhat prone to scuffing and sticking to things. Again - more care needs to be taken with these than with previous kits I have ordered. In the end, my car looks great and I have received nice compliments, but the product is not as thin and "factory installed" looking as I would have liked. Still - a good value."
