Dodge Charger 2006-2010, Cold Air Dam Intake System with Intake Tube by AIRAID®. The Cold Air Dam Intake System positions a large 360º AIRAID air filter with a huge air inlet in the stock location, but encloses it in a housing that seals against the hood, shielding the filter from engine heat and enabling it to take in large quantities of cooler, denser air. The cooler air contains more oxygen for more complete combustion, resulting in more horsepower and torque, and improved performance.
- Increases airflow to the engine
- Isolates the air filter from engine heat, enabling it to take in cooler, denser air

Increased airflow to your engine will increase horsepower and torque, but if that air is cooler and denser your engine will make even more power! Cooler, denser air contains more oxygen, and more oxygen in your engine's air intake charge means better combustion, resulting in greater engine output.
The AIRAID Cold Air Dam intake system ensures that only cooler air will reach your engine's air intake. It replaces your factory air box with a specially designed enclosure. The enclosure contains a large, free-flowing SynthaFlow or SynthaMax AIRAID filter, with a huge air inlet to increase airflow to the engine. But the magic occurs when your hood is closed, because that's when the Cold Air Dam enclosure seals against the hood and forms a large capacity airbox that shields the air filter from engine heat. The combination of large, free-flowing air filter and generous capacity, isolated airbox results in great quantities of cool, dense air funneled to your engine.
The SynthaFlow air filter is a cotton-gauze and synthetic blend that outperforms plain cotton-gauze in clean air testing. The SynthaFlow features "five layer" filtration, with 4 layers of cotton-gauze supplemented by "the last layer of defense", a layer of synthetic media that produces the cleanest air of any washable filter. The filtering media is held together by epoxy coated aluminum wire mesh, specially designed to provide the optimum balance between maximum airflow and peak filtration.
The SynthaMax filter is 100% synthetic, with an inner filter media consisting of two distinct layers of specifically designed synthetic materials that have separate performance characteristics. These layers are designed to work together to provide outstanding airflow and exceptionally high filtration. Contaminants are first captured by the outer layer of synthetic needlefelt polyester material, designed for wet and dry filtration with high airflow capacity. The inner layer of rayon/polyester captures any remaining contaminants while maintaining high airflow and low restriction. The inner filter media is supported by an inner and outer layer of wire mesh for strength and durability.
Each filter is over 99% efficient, meaning it allows more airflow while filtering out dirt particles ordinary filters let pass. You get better performance without sacrificing air filtration.
Also include a roto-molded polyethylene intake tube, which further aids airflow to the engine. This tube is less affected by engine heat than steel or aluminum tubing.
The Cold Air Dam Intake System comes complete with everything necessary for installation, including comprehensive instructions. And it's backed by AIRAID's "No Hassle" warranty. There are no limitations or fine print here. Simply, if you're ever dissatisfied with the materials, workmanship, or performance of this air intake system, just send it back... period! You don't have to worry about a proof of purchase or a warranty card. AIRAID air intake systems are warranted for life.334.90 397.90

AIRAID® was founded in 1997 when they began developing and manufacturing air intake systems for light trucks and SUVs, utilizing the cotton-gauze filter technology that was available at the time. These systems increased airflow and performance while being easy to install, and sold so well that the company soon realized that another source of filters was necessary. They believed they could produce a better quality filter using new technology and state-of-the-art materials, and so in 2002 the AIRAID Filter Company was formed. Today AIRAID is the recognized leader in air management technology. Extensive research and development has allowed AIRAID to come to market first with high quality products that improve drivability and performance.Product Reviews (10)AIRAID® - Cold Air Dam Intake System with Intake TubeAverage Rating: 4.5 of 5APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITYAirAid CAI for 2011 Dodge Charger 3.6L2011 Dodge Charger

I installed this CAI on my 2011 Dodge Charger V6 3.6L. I'm not very mechanically inclined, but the installation job was easy with the good instructions included. There were a few hiccups but that only came from me not reading the instructions well enough. Once installed, I noticed the sound at mid to high RPM ranges were much deeper. It's hard to say if there is any noticeable performance increase, but it still is a great little mod and I'm happy I bought it.Was this review helpful for you? Just what the car Doctor ordered. Basic knowledge of tools and mechanics needed. This has improved HP and emits, and nasty growl when you step on the gas. Well worth the bucks. Was this review helpful for you? YesNo(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITYGreat Air Intake!!!2012 Dodge Charger

Installed this about 2 weeks ago in my 2012 Dodge Charger R/T. I pre-assembled the air filter shield/housing and intake house adapter before hand after taking out the stock air filter box. Installation was not too difficult, if you don't fully tighten all the hardware until you bolt in the assembly to the interior side of the driver side fender. Noticed a nice improvement in HP and fuel MPG! Allows the 5.7L Hemi to breathe a lot easier and it growls when you press the accelerator now! For $200 bucks and a half hour to install you can't go wrong. I highly recommend! Was this review helpful for you? I received a cold air kit for my Charger that fit very well, it looks like a factory piece when you open the hood. Noticeable improvement in throttle response and a better grumble when you step on the pedal. Looks and works great. Was this review helpful for you? Instructions are easy to understand, and installation on my V6-powered 2012 Charger took about 45 minutes. In terms of both price and performance, this CAI is a better value, in my opinion. Competing products coast anywhere from $60 to $200 more, but all you get for the higher price is cosmetic (a new intake tube) rather than functional. Performance improvement is noticeable but slight; however, the claimed 10 hp/11ft-lb gains aren't realized until you're at or near redline anyhow. I'm not in the habit of driving like that, especially since gas is almost $4 a gallon. I may be getting an additional 1 mpg. Again, not much, but still better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Was this review helpful for you?
