The OEM item fills up the bumper cavity depth top-to-bottom. This bumper molding is a metalilic strip that sits within the bumper cavity. Sitting within the cavity causes this bumper molding to be much less visible than the OEM item. Very easy to install since the item has 3M double tape. "

Word to the wise, have some extra 3M auto trim tape on hand. I found that the rear bumper cap needed more than what was provided. Otherwise, I was pleased with the whole package. They look great once installed."
