I did have difficulty with the adhesive backing in that it would not separate, so I substituted several strips of automotive grade double-faced tape, which may be overkill since a lighter weight tape would work because the shape is a perfect fit and would hold in place just because of that fact. I did customize mine to appear brushed aluminum with the outer ring in the color of the car, center band in gunmetal gray and left the faux nuts as chrome. I highly recommend this product if you want the look of a billet gas door for a fraction of the costs!"
