The big "deep breathing" engine in your truck or SUV needs a 77 Series High-Flow Performance Air Intake Kit to unleash all of its power. The kit starts with an oversized conical high-flow K&N air filter, installed in place of the restrictive factory airbox. The large increase in filter area over the stock airbox filter results in a huge increase in airflow and a greater capacity to capture and hold dirt.
The increased airflow continues with a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube in place of the factory air path. The intake tube is available in several finishes. Most kits also include a heat shield that seals against the hood and isolates the filter from engine heat. The reduction in air intake temperature results in a cooler, denser air intake charge and even more horsepower. All components are mounted and connected with high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon, to ensure long life.
K&N uses a dynamometer to design its air intake kits to make the most horsepower possible. But their power figures aren't based on just one vehicle, but rather an average of runs by a number of vehicles. This means repeatable numbers and horsepower claims you can count on.

It performed well, and I also received about 3 mpg for city driving and on the highway I boosted an average of 4 more mpg's. This was driving at posted speed limits and keeping the foot out of it also. I was impressed with it and also loved hearing the turbo more."

That means that over time the unit will "pay for itself". Considering fuel prices, how much of purchase a decision is that? You can "feel" the immediate response to the increase in horsepower upon acceleration as well. The information provided stated that the unit would provide an additional 14 horsepower and again, that's obvious as well. A great product and worth the investment!"
