Jeep Wrangler 2008, Front Stubby Bumper by MBRP®. Replace your Wrangler’s OEM bumper with this massive steel fabrication. Mirroring the styling of the front fenders, it looks like the bumper was supposed to have all along.

Constructed out of powdercoated 3/16" thick steel, this attractive bumper replacement is more than just a pretty face. Attached to the Jeep’s front subframe by massive 1/4" brackets, it provides a place to mount 9500 lb. (and some smaller-framed 12000 lb.) winches, and their roller fairlead. You can remount your factory fog lamps into the recesses in the bumper, but for serious night-time off-roading, add the light bar accessory which will accept a pair of much larger driving lamps. Another accessory is the D-Ring brackets, forged to accept a standard forged D-ring for winch cable attachment. They’re attached to the bumper with massive half-inch bolts. If you need to use your Hi-Lift jack to get out of a gully, there are built-in lifting points to accept the jack built in.
Fifteen years ago, MBRP® started in the exhaust business by introducing the B&B Eliminator, a silencer that quickly became the best-selling snow machine muffler of all time. Exhaust system technology being as universal as it is, they soon branched off into cars, Jeeps, and diesel trucks, with amazing success. One of their secrets has been the practice of making as many universal-fit kits as possible. A couple of extra parts in the box means that a single kit might fit a number of different wheelbase pickup trucks, for instance. Reducing complexity in ordering is better for them, better for their distributors, and a great benefit for their customers, who are more likely to be able to find a kit that fits their vehicle on hand. In addition, they go to great lengths to make sure their systems fit properly every time. Careful attention to design and fabrication delivers a system that doesn’t need customization with a hammer to fit properly before the car or truck comes off the lift.
