If you have an SUV or any other vehicle equipped with raised side rails, now you can be equipped with a full-featured Thule rack system. Even if you have load bars from the factory, the Thule system will be an upgrade. Thule load bars are stronger and more durable, and accessories can be directly installed to the Thule bars, whereas the factory bars may require adapters.
The Specialty Railing Carrier with Load Bars requires a vehicle specific installation kit, but it's very easy to install. Just slide the feet onto the load bars and position them on the side rail with the adapters from the kit. Then secure the feet and bar to the rails with the integrated tightening knob. Once installation is complete, the knob becomes a stylish end cap, which complements the design of the feet and helps to enhance overall vehicle appearance.
This system comes with detailed instructions for an easy, hassle free installation. The limited lifetime warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product, and warrants the product against manufacturer's defects in materials or workmanship.179.95Brand: Thule Part Number: 440 UPC: 091021440272

Wish I had gotten the longer unit. Now my crossbars are too close together to fit the canoe. Haven't used the unit yet. But it seems to ride on the car nicely. The lid feels somewhat flimsy. Guess we shall see!Was this review helpful for you? YesNo(4.5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITYHigh-Quality Car Rack| Posted by David B. | 2013 Subaru Forester (San Francisco, CA)
I put these on my 2014 Forester. They fit well, and the installation was easy. When you buy a pair, they are sold as a front and rear pair, but the difference is not distinguishable and nothing on the package or in the enclosed instructions made note of this. I haven't noticed any increased noise, and I often drive with the roof open, so I think the aeroblade is a smart design. As far as roof racks go, they look nice and look like they will last a long time. Was this review helpful for you? YesNo
