Ease of Installation Price/Value Quality "This Deck Lid Spoiler is beautiful. It took a little longer to be shipped but not the fault of CARiD as the manufacturer in California, 3dCarbon, was late in shipping. The paintwork was perfect and the spoiler fits like a glove. This is the second time I've ordered a Deck Lid Spoiler from CARiD (manufactured by 3dCarbon) and this second time, the instructions were slightly different. The first time, because the tape is so good, and because I did not want the spoiler to stick until it was in the perfect position, after cleaning the trunk, I wet the trunk with water and removed the tape from the back of the spoiler and wet the tape also. Then with a water hose wetting both the trunk and spoiler, I could slide the spoiler to the correct position. After it was in the perfect position, I then pressed down on the spoiler, dried the area, pressed down again, let everything dry overnight, and the whole process worked perfect. The spoiler never moved. The second time (this time) they supplied me with a special cleaning liquid to put on the trunk where the tape would stick. First, I placed the spoiler on the trunk where it should be, and I marked the area with tape. (Instructions say to use grease pencil). After cleaning the trunk, I added the special liquid to the area where the tape will be, then I followed the instructions to remove the tape backing only from one corner, placing the spoiler on the trunk, and peeling the backing back slowly. Had to be very careful with this method, because once that tape touches the trunk, IT STICKS, and you can't remove or adjust it. Worked out ok, however if I had to do it again, I would rather use the water method (without using the special liquid) because with the water method, I can still make adjustments. BTW, water method will not work if the special liquid is used. Lucky for me, I only tried it on one very small corner, and even with everything wet, IT STICKS. Either use (my) first water method no special liquid, or the second method that comes with the instructions, using the special liquid and no water. "

The last sploier I ordeded was 10 years ago for my 2001 Lincoln. That one I had to have painted, and that cost over $100."

In fact, if I didn't know I was the one who installed it, I would think that the car rolled off the assembly line with the spoiler attached. It definitely gives my car the "Wow" that it was missing before. Mounting the spoiler was extremely easy. The whole process took approximately 20 minutes. "
