I am the manager at an auto accessory store (shop in Lake Charles, LA). I order aftermarket parts from CARiD on a semi-regular basis and have found that in all cases (so far) the product is as advertised both in appearance and quality. I do not hesitate to do business with these folks. If I could have one thing to improve, it would be the delivery time. In most cases, it takes a week or more to receive the product, and this makes it difficult to schedule the installation accurately.
My quest to change headlamps in my 2011 Sierra began with looking at HID lights. While I really liked the added brightness and blue-white color of the 6000-8000 kelvin lamp there were two obstacles. First having to switch out the housing from a reflective to projector type of headlamp and then the second… the law – somewhat illegal in my area of driving. After searching I opted for these headlights. Now with my advance knowledge of automotive repair - I can insert and turn the key, move the shift and step on the gas - I had my dealership install the lights…a man has to know his limitations. The report was there were no issues in installing the lights. They thought the lights looked “sick” on the truck. I was quite please with the outward look and they do light up the road with a whiter light and it seems the over sweep (left to right) of the light covers more area. The brights are definitely bright. It was a great choice for me. I am very happy. The good part too is, when I feel I want to break the law and upgrade to HID – I have the proper housing to do so. My problem now is…do I sell my stock headlamps or save them to replace these new ones when I sell my truck….
