"Product is what I needed. Seems to be sturdy enough to withstand considerable impact. I had it professionally installed, so I can't comment on ease of installation."

"I was skeptical looking at the vehicle and possible mounting points any grille guard for the Sprinter could be. All of the plastics they use on todays vehicles seem to block any approach to solid framework. Black Horse seems to have done a good job of engineering around those issues using a 6 point attachment. Probably not as strong as the guards we used to build ourselves in our younger days but seems solid enough. Installation was pretty easy and straight forward. Following the instructions the job took about three hours including the optional drilling of two holes in the frame. A shop that has done one or two of these before could probably trim that in half. Once on the van, the look is very impressive and adds a great deal of "beefiness" to the appearance. I also added a pair of Hella Rallye 4000 lamps. There are two holes drilled in the mid level cross member for lights. They are fitted with plastic trim plugs if no lights are added. We opted for the black grille as opposed to the stainless. The stainless most likely would hold up better over the years but it probably won't match the brightness of any chrome and the black blends better to my eye, with the rest of the front end. Time will tell how the finish holds up. Overall, I rate the Black Horse Guard high across the board in all categories. I would probably buy another one."
