They usually streak and cloud your glass, making it even harder to see. This hood shield directs the airflow to the top and ricochets stones and other debris away from your hood and windshield.

Produced from chrome-plated ABS plastic, this accessory will complement the OEM chrome trim of your vehicle. AVS chrome hood shields feature full-height, wrap-around design for maximum protection of your hood and windshield. This is a custom-built application that will fit your vehicle perfectly. Easy no-drill installation can be finished in minutes using 3M tape or mechanical fasteners (depending upon the vehicle). In order to protect the hood paint from rubbing, the set includes several bumpons, which are applied to the hood during the installation. The accessory can be easily removed for simple cleaning. Vehicle equipped with Chrome Hood Shield can be car-washed safely, unless it is automatic "brush-style" car wash. The set includes installation instructions and required hardware.

Once I saw, I learned. But it now looks great on my 4runner. BTW, in addition to this chrome bug deflector, which Carid price matched with another competitor, I also bought chrome pillar posts, chrome mirror covers and a 43-piece dash kit. Great customer service and timely delivery. What I would like to suggest to whoever makes the dash kits is to seriously consider making scratch-resistant pieces for inner door panels of vehicles."
