Your vehicle came with a nice logo in the front grille; at least it was nice when it was new. But time, weather, and UV take its toll on chromed plastic, as do stone chips and the neighbor’s kids. Replace your peeling, cracked or missing emblem with a fresh billet piece from AMI. Going custom on the grille, and your shiny chromed emblem looks odd in the murdered-out black grille? How about a black powdercoated piece that looks more appropriate? AMI has billet emblems in polished aluminum, chrome or powdercoat to suit your palette and look right. And they’ll stay that way. These emblems are a perfect replacement for your OEM logo.36.27 134.56

The bowties look great. They are of high quality (heavy metal) and have a great finish. However, the bowtie on the front grille is not a great fit (size wise). It appears there are slightly different models/sizes for various Chevy models and that the manufacturer shipped me the Tahoe model, instead of the Silverado model. Accordingly, the front bowtie did not fit as it should. The screws in the back did not align with the factory holes and the bowtie itself does not occupy the entire "placeholder" in the grille. I had to drill a new hole in the grille and had to make the other hole that was used a rectangle shape so that I could center the bowtie. Luckily washers and bolts were included and I was able to tighten it so that it should stay where I want it.Was this review helpful for you? Product looks good, back blends in with the back, wish it had some sort of outline, but other then that it's nice. Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(3)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY2012 Chevy Tahoe | Posted by David | (Amity Harbor, NY)
The emblems appear to have almost transparent paint on the edges because it's so thin. Front emblem fit decent although it's overall size is larger then the OEM. The rear emblem does not fit the contour of the tailgate and won't sit flat so it is still not adhered to the tailgate. I'm looking for softer two sided tape to adhere emblem to take up the difference. Was this review helpful for you? These are nice heavy aluminum bow-tie emblems. They fit perfectly where the old emblems go, once you remove them. The front one comes off easier but goes on a little trickier, just to reach around to screw the nuts onto the bolts. The rear one comes off harder then it goes on, due to the fact that there is a lot of adhesive holding that old one on. You definitely should use a heat gun on the low setting, and a plastic spatula or knife to pry it off. I used a very small flathead screw driver to carefully get under it and not scratch the paint. Once it's off, make sure you get the outer edge of old adhesive off the vehicle. You'll thank me later, because when you put the new emblem on, there is a gap between the emblem and the surface, and you'll be able to see the messy old adhesive underneath. Use Acetone carefully around the border of old adhesive to get it off. That brings me to my other point; the only thing wrong with the back emblem is the double stick tape it comes with...it's a little to thick, not resulting in a flush mount to the surface. I went to a hardware store and got thinner heavy duty double stick tape to use, now it looks awesome. Overall, great product. Was this review helpful for you? Extremely nice product. Very heavy duty. A lot nicer than the old gold emblems that are made of plastic. Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY2013 Chevy Tahoe | Posted by Jonathan | (Streetsboro, OH)
