Optimizing the performance of your vehicle starts with understanding what it is doing and how it is performing. As you modify your vehicle in any way it is important to know and understand what those modifications are doing to your vehicles performance, it is also important to understand these things when altering your chassis set-up and/or your driving style. Keeping an eye on vehicle parameters such as temperatures and speeds is also very important to any performance vehicle owner. The Bully Dog WatchDog provides users with all of these features in one unit. The monitoring features of the WatchDog can be customized in many ways including: gauge layout, colors, parameters monitored (allows 4 parameters to be monitored at one time on the high capacity, crystal clear screen), warning/alarms and settings. Everyone has dreamed of having a race track of their very own to test their vehicles performance, and the WatchDog almost fulfills those dreams. Enter some basic information for your vehicle such as engine size and away you go. Measuring acceleration/deceleration time and distance, lap times and more through advanced data collection gathered; that information is then processed by the Performance Management software in the WatchDog. The end result is information that is accurate within a .10 of a second.
It is proven that drivers who change their driving habits to maximize fuel economy can see improvements up to 37% per gallon of fuel. Recognizing this fact, Bully Dog designed the first software of its kind into the Watchdog, thus being first to market again! The information is gathered from the sensors that each vehicle is equipped with from the factory. Information is gathered during operation in real time, the software then process the information. As the information is processed, it is then used to serve as a Driving Coach - guiding the vehicle's driver to the most efficient, economical driving techniques in order to maximize fuel economy.
The Watchdog becomes a very valuable tool as a Driving Coach. A priority in today's market place is saving fuel, getting every last tenth of a mile out of the fuel in the tank. The Watchdog features software that tracks the driver's habits behind the wheel. As these habits show themselves, the software calculates the best remedy and then notifies the driver. As a Driving Coach, the Watchdog will recommend and suggest different driving methods to the user in real time as conditions and habits become apparent. For instance, If the driver of the vehicle is repeatedly waiting until the last minute before applying the brakes before coming to a stop, the software will recognize this and then advise the driver how they can improve their braking method and their fuel mileage.299.99
Brand: Bully Dog Part Numbers:
Bully Dog was formed in 1998 in Aberdeen, Idaho. The founders of Bully Dog – Michael, Phillip, and Daryl Klassen - were heavily influenced by their father Harold's interest in improving vehicle performance. Several years prior to the company's inception, Harold had experimented with increasing performance on his diesel farm tractor by injecting propane into the engine's combustion chamber. In 1998, Bully Dog's owners took this concept and developed and patented a safe and effective propane injection system to enhance diesel engine performance. These systems were first sold out of their farm shop, but as demand increased, they moved the company to another location and officially organized Bully Dog. Bully Dog's mission was now to be recognized as the leader in the diesel performance industry. With the introduction of electronic components and software to improve performance, they began to research new types of products like intake and exhaust systems to complement their electronic components. In 2005, the company expanded its range of products to include performance products for gasoline-powered vehicles. Bully Dog is now able to offer a complete performance package.
