I purchased this Black Horse Grill Guard from CARID mainly because they were the only website that listed this thing fitting a 2012 Jeep Liberty. I was pretty sure nothing had changed since 2011 but wanted to make sure. I received the order promptly and as others have reviewed it is well packeged by the manufacturer. Unfortunately UPS must have dropped it because the bottom bar was dented and bent once I opened it. Long story short CARID sent me out another one which arrived in the same packaging but unscathed this time. As far as the install, I was lucky enough to have a friend with a heated garage and a lift in it so it made things much easier. We installed this without removing any trim or the bumper but I have to admit he had a wrench that had multiple pivots and and air wrench so the regular joe might not be able to get at the bolts. You have to remove and cannot reinstall the factory tow hooks on a Jeep Liberty. Very easy install, place some threaded plates and bolt it up. I have since added some fog lights into the pre dilled holes and it looks great!"

Ease of Installation Price/Value Quality "The grille guard is installed, and it looks great. It is made of sturdy tubing and metal and should protect my car from damage in a collision with deer - which are plentiful where I live. Be warned--the model for the 2011 model is the same as the one for the 2010. Mercedes made some changes in their 2011 model 350, which will require modifications when it is installed. Total installation time by professional installers was 7 hours."

We replaced the cr-v with a new one and three days after installing the black horse guard I hit a deer HARD with the new cr-v while bringing the kids home on halloween. The guard had some hair on it but the next morning any evidence of hitting a deer was washed off by the rain. I am sure that without the guard the damage would have been much more than the cost of the guard. I hope I can find this guard to fit on all of my future vehicles."

Ease of Installation Price/Value Quality "Ordered this bumper set for my Avalanche. One of the best investments I've made for the truck. Install was fine but passenger side was very difficult to install on frame as space was very tight. I definitely recommend this product for appearance and strength. Very well built and looks mean as hell. Just plan for a much longer install time."

Managed to get directions thanks to the great customer service at CarID.com. Put the grille guard on my 2007 Lexus RX350, and it looks GREAT! Looks EXACTLY like the WAAG grille guard, but HALF the price. Install took 1 hour. Had to peel the front bumper off and unhook the fog lamps and headlight washers. Easy with 2-person assist."
