The Archway is the versatile rack that provides secure and safe bicycle transport. The Archway's locking features and ant-sway cages ensure your bikes will arrive safely and in perfect condition.
When you reach your riding destination, the last thing you want to find is your bikes scratched up and damaged from banging together repeatedly during the trip. With the Archway Trunk Bike Rack you'll have no worries. The Archway has features like Hold-Fast cradles with soft-saddle material to protect your bikes' finish and No-Sway cages that prevent bike-to-bike and bike-to-vehicle contact. With the Archway your bikes will look the same at the beginning and the end of your journey.
The patented FitDial with Quick-Fit lever makes installing the Archway a snap. Its long, curved tubes provide so much clearance even vehicles with spoilers can carry this rack. The Archway is fitted with oversized ribbed molded pads that are gentle to your vehicle's finish and channel water away to prevent the accumulation of dirt. The Cinch Lever allows the bike arms to be adjusted independently, enabling the Archway to carry bikes with unique frame designs. The integrated locking cable secures the bikes to the rack and the TrunkLocker strap secures the rack to the vehicle.

Once the rack is installed, it holds bikes securely in place and makes theft difficult. I had some problems installing the rack the first time and the instructions were of marginal help. I could not attach the trunk hooks without opening the trunk, once I attached the hooks it was just a matter of adjusting the cables to achieve the proper fit. The rack's size and weight make it difficult to handle while installing. I did not have any problems with trunk dents reported by some users. Two light weight folks could install it easily. Despite the initial installation problems, I recommend this bike rack for anyone that cannot use the trailer hitch version.
Fits great on my 2007 FJ Cruiser. Love the improvements from the original rack; especially the sway bar and locking device. Very easy to install with clear instructions. Very pleased.
I was amazed at the ease of installation of this product. I took my time and read the directions carefully. When I tested it out with my bike, it seemed secure. It comes with a bike stabilizer and a strap for extra securing of the bike. The only thing, I wish it had was a strap to keep the front wheel of the bike from moving. But I secured it with a bungee cord that I provided. Good value for the money.
The 918 was delivered promptly, and it is a rugged piece of equipment, just as the original 916 tray carrier is. This is the best bike rack system I have ever had. The only downside is the weight, but that is what makes these devices durable.
