Your stock intake and turbo outlet manifolds have sharp bends and corners. As air flows around a sharp bend, turbulence and eddies create dead air zones right after the bend, restricting the effective dimension of the flow passage. The result is restricted and reduced overall airflow. The aFe BladeRunner Intake and Turbo Outlet Manifolds use Multiple Directional Vane (MDV) technology to increase airflow. MDV technology uses smooth bends and directional vanes to form multiple air paths through the manifold. These paths are smoother and shorter, reducing the size of the dead air zones and increasing overall airflow. The BladeRunner manifolds also have a higher arc to reduce the sharpness of the angles and the overall passage is enlarged compared to the factory manifold, to increase volume.
The BladeRunner intake and turbo outlet manifolds increase airflow, improve boost pressure with faster turbo spool-up, reduce exhaust gas temperature, increase fuel mileage and enable your engine to create more horsepower and low-end torque.
