Stock grille came out with only 4 pop fasterners on top and 4 phillips screws from the bottom. All access from the top with hood open. RI grille went right back in by reversing procedure and fit perfectly. The grille is gloss black, and it gave my San Marino Red Honda, a completely new look. Updates appearance without the "Boy Racer" look. Very satisfied with the product, and carID performance. "

Installation was a little more complicated than expected. I had to remove both my factory grille and radiator cover. It's easy enough to do, but now I have no radiator cover. Doesn't see to make much of a difference. I think the 01 Civic sedan has a different radiator cover, because it seems to be an easy swap for sedan owners. So, if you think you're going to miss your radiator cover, order one for a sedan when you order this grille. Also, there is a slight gap at the top of the grille where it meets the hood. This normal and part of the styling. All in all, despite looking like a cheap piece of plastic out of the box, this grille is fairly easy to install and makes a dramatic difference in the front end styling. "
