I Bought the Upper & Lower Grille CoversMarch 30, 2012 | Posted by Allan P. | 2008 GMC Sierra (Abbotsford, BC)Both units arrived together in a reasonable amount of time. Installation of the upper grille was straightforward. The lower grille does require a little fabrication though. The license plate holder must be removed first. I had to pry the heads off the rivets, then cut the remainder off once the frame was removed. The grille requires drilling holes in the lower plastic bumper. Unfortunately a template is not included. I solved this by pushing the mounting studs through the shipping box, tracing the grille outline (and tow hook holes) and cutting this out as a template. After taping the template in place, I managed to drill some holes. A few fittings and enlargement of the holes were required to get the grille centered. The rest is intuitive (attaching the brackets from the back and securing with nylon locknuts). Altogether installation took about 1/2 hour.

After a few hiccups with shipping (the courier sent the parcels back), the product arrived in a very reasonable amount of time (I live in Canada). I should note that CARID called, and emailed, me a number of times to advise me of the shipping status so I wasn't left guessing. The product arrived intact, although the hardware package for the large grille was opened and one of the mounting nuts was missing. There are no instructions for mounting. However, if you're at all mechanically inclined, it's intuitive. Just remove the plugs holding the top radiator shroud and pull the shroud off to get access to the side grille cover mounts. I'm very happy with the speed of installation and the way appearance of the product. Although it's a "bolt over" application, the original grille is almost hidden and it looks close to factory and Very bright! Excellent value for the money.
