HAWK® - Autocross and Track Compound Brake Pads

Subaru WRX / WRX STI 2004-2005, Autocross and Track Compound Brake Pads by HAWK®. This is a set of replacement brake pads that is designed to be used on the track and on the street where performance vehicles are driven aggressively and experience more repetitive, heavy braking. Pads are designed to the precise tolerances of factory parts for proper fit and operation, but are made of a specialized Ferro-Carbon formulation that has a higher friction coefficient to dig in and grab. Available in sets for front and rear, these pads are also safe for normal street driving. Limited lifetime warranty.

These brake pads are made not from ceramic materials, but a Ferro-Carbon compound consisting of iron, carbon, and titanium. The high friction level that results in extreme levels of grip is a result of the abrasive nature of this metallic blend, and under heavy use the Autocross and Track Compound Brake Pads will cause a higher level of abrasive wear on brake rotors. However, these ferro-carbon pads resist heat buildup that plagues OEM pads under heavy use, so there will be no need to compensate for reduced effectiveness after brake fluid gets hot enough to boil in the lines.
