Because many modern vehicles can travel a higher number of miles and continue to run and feel like new, many buyers looking at today’s typical three-year old car have come to expect perfection, and are willing to pay for ones that look the part inside and out. Seat covers are probably the easiest and most effective way to keep your vehicle’s interior looking...
The grille on your car or truck is its most distinctive feature, and the first thing people notice when you’re coming down the road. In fact, the grille on some vehicles is so recognizable that most car buffs can tell the make and model with just a glance. Words like like billet, mesh, punch and CNC may confuse you while choosing a grille. Read on to navigate...
Protective automotive coverings come in two basic categories: mats and liners. The mats are flat, with a more or less perfect fit, ridges and deep wells or channels between the ridges, to separate and contain the dirt and moisture from your feet. The liners are molded, also with a more or less perfect fit, to the shape of the vehicle floor, with high lips that run...

Honda S2000 JKS Factory Style Spoiler
2004 Honda S2000
| Posted by | (Beloeil, QC)

Overall quality: Overall, the quality is quite good and I am happy with the purchase. Shipping and packaging: Since I ordered a painted spoiler, it took a little longer to receive the package. But it was shipped on time as predicted, and very well packaged. Finish and paint: I ordered a painted spoiler for a 2004 S2000. The color match is perfect with the rest of the car, even if the car is 8 years old. The paint job is nice, but there are some imperfections. But overall, paint quality is good. Installation: Beware NOT to use the Honda factory spoiler installation instructions as the mounting holes are not located at the same place on this spoiler! JKS should have bought at least one factory spoiler to at least copy the mounting holes position as the factory spoiler mounting holes are located at easier places which makes a ton of sense. Secondly, the supplied T-strip are really hard to use : they were hard to place on the spoiler, hard to remove from the spoiler, they don’t have the holes predrilled, so you have to drill them yourself… Finally, I ended up not using them and made myself a plastic template which I taped on the spoiler, placed the spoiler on the trunk, then taped the template on the trunk to drill the holes. Total install took a little bit under 4 hours. I could have easily made it quicker, but wanted to do it right the first time (no chance of error when you drill the trunk!). Also, the spoiler was a bit twisted when placed on the trunk. At the end, you cannot notice it because when the mounting screws were tightened, it became straight again. Also, had to add some weatherstrip to the spoiler because there was a gap in the preinstalled weatherstrip and I was afraid some water could pass there and get in the trunk. Final word: If you are a DIYer and want to have a spoiler that might not be 100% perfect, for half the price of an OEM spoiler, this spoiler is for you. You might have some job to do (add weatherstrip, make templates, etc), but it is not that hard. If you want 100% perfection and fit, get the OEM spoiler. It will fit better, installation will be easier and paint should be perfect, but it’ll cost you twice the price.
