THULE® - Bed Rider Truck Bike Rack

Dodge Dakota 1987-2011, Bed Rider Truck Bike Rack by Thule®. Transport your bikes safely and easily within the confines of your truck's bed with this handy fork mounted carrier. No bolting or drilling is required for its attachment; the telescoping aluminum bar expands against the truck bed side walls. The Bed Rider fits most small and full-size pickup beds and it's compatible with most bed liners. It can carry 2 bikes but more bikes can be added with the addition of Locking Bed Rider Add-On Blocks (sold separately).

A pickup truck bed is a natural for transporting bicycles, but you don't want to just lay your bikes in the bed on their sides. There they can slide around and bang into one another, becoming scratched up and damaged. To safely and securely transport your bikes in the bed you need the Thule Bed Rider Truck Bike Rack. This carrier secures the bikes by the forks, for secure, stable transport. The Bed Rider can be mounted in the pickup bed of most small and full size pickup trucks, and it's compatible with most bed liners. But best of all, installation of the Bed Rider requires no drilling, so there's no need to worry about unsightly holes that can cause rust damage.

The Bed Rider's aluminum telescoping bar expands to hold the carrier against the side rails of the bed. The bar's SoftGrip™ rubber feet prevent damage to the truck bed. With the bar securely in place, the bike forks can be positioned in the fork mount blocks and secured with the locking 9mm quick-release skewer. The skewer ensures safe, stable bike transport.

Three One-Key lock cylinders are included, one to lock the cam handle to secure the bar to the bed, and two to lock the skewers to prevent bike theft. If you'd like to carry more bikes, just add Locking Bed-Rider Add-On Blocks (sold separately) to the bar. The Bed Rider Truck Bike Rack comes with everything necessary for installation, including detailed instructions. The limited lifetime warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product, and warrants the product against manufacturer's defects in materials or workmanship.

Note: To use this rack the bicycle must come equipped with a quick release front skewer. This carrier is not compatible with fork dropouts less than 0.157" (4mm) or greater than 0.472" (12mm) thick, and the dropouts must be 3.937" (100mm) apart. Bed width must be more than 47-3/4" and less than 72" wide. This carrier will not work on trucks with over-the-rail bed liners.
