To create an air intake system with the highest airflow possible, the engineers at Weapon-R experimented with basic laws of physics. They found that by creating two different air velocity profiles in the intake tube, both traveling at different speeds, it increased overall air speed and volume to the engine, naturally feeding the engine 3 times more air than a conventional air intake system. To implement this patented technology, Weapon-R CNC mandrel-bends 6061 aluminum to the desired shape, and then polishes it to a show quality finish. The intake tube is then matched with Weapon-R’s Secret Weapon air filter. The Secret Weapon air filter features a tuned velocity stack to increase velocity and decrease turbulence. The dramatic increase in airflow results in a greater increase in engine performance than would be possible with any other air intake system.

Weapon-R® Ram Air Kit II turns your air intake system into a Ram Air Intake. The Ram Air Intake brings cooler air to your intake system. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen and cooler engine air inlet temperatures result in more power. Furthermore, the Ram Air tube is made from a high temperature fire resistant plastic, to resist heat soak which robs horsepower from your engine. The Ram Air Kit is easy to install. Just connect the hose to the top of the air filter, mount the velocity stack in the lower part of the grille and attach the hose.

Sounds awesome! Sounds like it used to at low RPMs, but when I put the pedal to the floor, you really hear the awesome growl. They sent me some bits that didn't quite fit, but it's awesome nonetheless.

Very Good Intake :)

Weapon-R® 308-116-101 - Secret Weapon Aluminum Polished Short Ram Air Intake System with Black Filter

The Secret Weapon Short Ram Intake is very good. I am very very pleased with it. This intake was a replacement for my cold air intake. (maker of cold air intake I feel that I shouldn't share.) I wish i started with this intake to begin with instead of it being a replacement. It is also easy to take the filter off for cleaning. unlike a cold air intake. Only 2 Downfalls: The vacuum hose that was supplied does not fit on the black hose on the engine, it's too small. However it is an EASY fix. The bracket the comes with this intake and not very sturdy. But, to fix this me and my dad took the second one that was provided, cut it and bent it to look like it came from the factory. We also applied a steel flat bar under the intake tube for more support. Looks very nice, sturdy (now) and clean. Again I am VERY pleased with this product. I would recommend to anyone.

I am very pleased with the Weapon-R intake kit. The installation on on my 04 Jetta was very quick and simple. I've noticed quicker acceleration time in addition to a distinctive growl upon shifting into third gear.
