Subaru WRX 2002-2003, Radiator Cap Tester Adapter by Stant®. Coolant Recovery Tank. A faulty radiator cap can allow your engine to overheat. Testing the cap should be part of every thorough cooling system test. This adapter enables the Stant Cooling System tester to the radiator pressure cap.
- Enables connection of Stant Cooling System tester to radiator cap
- Enables detection of faulty radiator cap before engine overheating occurs
- Provides a tight, leak-free seal for accurate testing
The radiator cap pressurizes the cooling system to raise the boiling point of the coolant. The cap allows excess coolant to flow to the coolant expansion tank when the engine is hot, and back into the radiator when the engine cools. If the radiator cap won’t hold pressure, the engine could overheat. This adapter enables the Stant Cooling System tester to be attached to and test the radiator cap. The cap should be tested whenever the cooling system is tested.
