A Real Standout!October 26, 2012 | Posted by Frank A. | 2013 Ford F-350 (Meadow Valley, CA)The grille came packaged with molded foam protection and a very sturdy box. This first impression was good. This grille is designed to enhance the lines of the truck and is not at all generic. No installation instructions were included, however, it really took no time at all to figure out where the support brackets were supposed to be attached. If you are not somewhat mechanically inclined, the installation should be left to someone who is. With a helper to hold the assembled grille in place (three bolted together pieces), the job is not at all difficult. From start to finish was about one hour. I only have one issue and it does not deter me from the 5 star rating. Although the grille is heavy enough to be substantial, it is not stiff enough to not shake ever so slightly when driving. This is because the grille is mounted low at the mid bumper line, and the bulk of the weight is above the mounting point. This is a picky criticism, but I like "truck stuff" to be solid. I will add two stainless steel support rods mounted to the upper part of each upright, though the grille facade and bolted to the upper radiator support under the hood. This could be added by the manufacturer, but would require some grille modification and be much more intensive than the rather simple installation as it is designed. My addition will stabilize the top of the grille and minimize the vibration. I really hate to add my vibration issue, because this grille is really very well-made and looks terrific. I am very pleased that I spent the extra dollars for a very superior product. By the way, I contacted the manufacturer and they were kind enough to e-mail me a very nice picture of the grille mounted on my model truck. CARiD was very good at keeping me informed as to when I would receive my purchase.
