  • Durable - able to withstand almost unlimited cleanings
  • Guaranteed for the life of your vehicle
  • Proudly manufactured in the USA

AEM’s Dryflow air filter offers the best of all possible worlds, increased airflow to the engine, optimal filtration for long engine life and easy maintenance. First let’s talk about airflow. Every Dryflow filter is designed to exceed the engine’s airflow requirements; not by just a little but by a wide margin. This allows you to make engine modifications that increase engine airflow without having to worry about exceeding the filter’s airflow capacity. And the Dryflow filter performs under real world conditions. It flows almost as well when it’s dirty as it does when it’s clean, and its unique non-woven filter media is designed to actually shed dirt under engine vibration, unlike cotton-gauze filters that retain dirt. But don’t think that filtration ability has been sacrificed for airflow. The AEM Dryflow filter captures up to 99% of contaminants, extending the life of engine rings and seals. Finally, the Dryflow filter is a breeze to clean. Simply knocking the filter a few times will remove excess dirt from the filter pleats, and the actual cleaning process is simple. Most importantly, the Dryflow filter requires no oiling, taking the guesswork out of servicing.

Dryflow filtering element:

AEM Filtering Element

The AEM Dryflow filter is constructed of a unique non-woven polyester-based filter media supported by aluminum screen wire for rigid structural strength. This filter media doesn’t require oil to filter and trap dirt and contaminants, and actually sheds dirt under engine vibration, unlike cotton-gauze, which holds onto contaminants until you clean the filter. When it’s time to clean, simply tapping the filter a few times will remove most of the dirt from the filter pleats. Then spray the filter with AEM’s environmentally friendly, mild, all-purpose cleaner. Rinse the filter with clean water and allow to dry, or blow dry with compressed air. Best of all, the Dryflow filter requires no oiling, so there’s never a chance of over-oiling. The Dryflow filter is extremely durable and will withstand almost unlimited cleanings.

John Concialdi and Bob Sullivan co founded AEM in 1987 as a tuning performance shop in Compton California. Both men had extensive technical backgrounds in engines and engine airflow, and in a short time AEM became the go-to company for performance modifications. By 1993, when the company relocated to Gardena California, it had become commonplace to see cars wearing the bright yellow AEM logo winning races. AEM tirelessly dyno tested and worked closely with racers and auto manufacturers in an effort to understand intake energy dynamics. This resulted in the sale of their first air intake kit in 1994. AEM can boast a number of firsts and unique products: They’re the first manufacturer to make an intake system with specific tube lengths and diameters to take advantage of pressure waves in the inlet tract; they developed the first dual chamber intake kit; they designed an air bypass valve to prevent hydro-lock should the air filter ingest water; and they created one of the first hybrid intake systems for modified cars. AEM continues to create innovative products to help you get more power from your car.

"The AEM filter is definitely an improvement over the stock paper filter I had. I could feel a difference in acceleration and a bit more sound. Plus, this filter is extremely easy to clean and maintain."

"Installed the dry flow filter about 500 miles ago, no notable improvements in mpg's or torque. Air filter took 30 minutes to install but thats due to manufacture's set up of OEM air filter box. Overall its well worth the investment. Cheaper than replacing cotton filters every year and much better quality. $60 for filter and cleaner versus $10/year for OEM replacements. If you are planning on keeping your car for more than 6 years this product is worth its weight in gold. No added performance just a economical decision in the end."

"Car seems to have a minor adjustment in acceleration smoothness. Its nice to know that I can just clean this bad boy though. The other thing I noticed was a 1/2 mpg gain, and when paired with my Amsoil fluid change giving me 1 mpg that's a nice stepup. No noticeable horsepower gain, no nifty intake growl. Just a very nice drop-in that won't mess up your sensors. This filter is however kinda heavy. "

"I love that this product was built on K&N technology, and that it doesn't require any oil! he price was great and of course it installed with no problems. I only wish that the filter came with a small sample of the cleaning solution, but I suppose I could have picked that up at the same time as my filter order."

"I bought this product as a replacement product for my 2010 Xterra's CAI and it far exceeded my expectations. First and for most it corrected my check engine light problem. Second, CARiD definitely has the cheapest price for this product anywhere and shipping was fast though. I wish I knew they had Miltary Discounts so I could have gotten it cheaper. Very good product very pleased. Thanks."
