Because the 3M tape is extremely sticky, I found that when working with the larger pieces it was much easier and safer to peel off a small portion of the 3M backing and secure the top first, then peel off the backing as you work your way down"

"I got the full real medium burl wood kit. For the most part I am happy with it. The finish and the look of it is very nice however some of the parts weren't cut to the right size leaving a little gap. I would still buy again, it makes the inside of my car look upper class. I didn't use all the parts as I felt it was to much and the smaller package didn't have quite enough. It's best to apply this on hotter days where the pieces are a little more flexible. All in all good product for the price."

"This is a beautiful upgrade to my car, it adds a different feel to the interior, combining sophistication and elegance to an otherwise plain interior. The installation was somewhat more difficult than discussed in earlier reviews. It took me almost six hours to install the kit myself. I will add that I am somewhat of a perfectionist and wanted to make the install look like it came from the factory (which it does). Please make a note for all you self installers out there and listen to the warning of a previous reviewer, make sure you have a good hair dryer on hand because it facilitates an easier positioning of the pieces, especially if you are installing the kit in marginal temperatures (less than 70 degrees). One item I struggled with for a time, was the peeling of the red 3M backing off of the individual parts, util I found a simple way to do it. Simply hold the part in your hand so that you can see the layers of the product and gently slide your thumbnail between thr red backing material and the product until you have have loosened a small tab of the backing from the product, now you can pinch the small tab of backing between your thumb and forfinger of the other hand and gently peel the backing away. I found that it was a tremendous help to warm up the product and the area to be covered, with the blowdryer, before applying. Using the high setting on the dryer allows you to make small adjustments to the positioning of the piece before it sets. Overall this is a beautiful upgrade to the plain interior of a 4 year old car that I recently purchased. With time and patience you will be rewarded with compliments from everyone who rides in your car. I purchased the medium burl synthetic wood kit, and it is almost impossible to tell the difference between it and the real wood on other cars i have seen. I was worried about the shine associated with the polyurethane coating, but that worry was entirely unmerited. Thanks carID great product, I recomend this to all. Steve DIas"

"Drastically improved the look of my 300C's dash. Installation was easier than expected. I am not sure how it is going to hold up in the hot Texas summer, but we will see. For now though I am very happy with my purchase. I seem to like it more and more each day. I would recommend this product to anyone who can afford the price."

"I ordered the full kit for my PT. It arrived the good time and I like the quality. Some of the edges around the outside vents are a little hard to make fit right because once it sticks, it sticks. The backing could on the bigger pieces be cut smaller. All in all I am VERY satisfied with the product. I am sending a pic later."
