The rigid four-layer structure of the Ultimats guarantees that the mats keep their precise fit to your car. The bottom layer is the non-slip TractionBac® rubber backing. On top of that is a propylene mesh layer for stiffness, to keep the mat from warping. Next is a water-resistant latex layer that keeps the car floor pan dry. The latex is covered with a woven polypropylene backing for the luxurious tuft, which is 5/16 inch deep and made in heavy 2-ply, 32 oz/sq.yd., continuous filament nylon yarn. This is a durable and extremely longwearing mat.

Lloyd Mats has a custom mat pattern for virtually every vehicle sold in the US since 1960. The patterns are developed by Lloyd Mats for the best possible fit. The patterns are digitized, and the mats are cut using AutoCAD ultrasonic cutting technology to ensure a perfect fit to your vehicle, with the Lloyd mats often covering a slightly larger floor area than the mats provided by the car manufacturer.
Note: These mats are made to order and not returnable except for manufacturing errors. It is not a manufacturing error that the Lloyd Mat is slightly bigger than the OEM mats. Always test fit the mats before you file a complaint on a suspected misfit. In 99.9% of all cases you will find that the Lloyd Mat fits better than the original mat.

Mats fit perfectly and did not smell at all, did not need to "air -freshen" then before installation. Color was not exactly what I envisioned on my laptop screen, but nothing to complain. I'm ready to buy other similar products from here.

Ordering and delivery were easy and swift. Most importantly though - just like many comments on here - it stinks. I washed both sides and left it outdoors and it still stank. I left it in my garage for several days before putting it in the car, and it still stank. A week later, I can still smell it - I have to air out the car before using it. I sure hope the smell goes away. Thankfully, this is my 2nd car for hauling so I don't have to deal with it daily.

Nice Product with a Nasty SmellMay 11, 2012 | Posted by Don H. | (San Diego, CA)Have had this out in the sun, sprayed with rubbing alcohol as recommended by the manufacture and still stinks. Bought for a brand new car but looks like I will not be able to use this Lloyd mat after all. Don't recommend to anyone that doesn't want their car to stink. Have other Lloyd products that work well and don't stink and have lasted for years.

It did have a strong unpleasant odor so I set it outside for a couple of days and that worked. I would recommend this mat due to quality and fit.

Matter of fact, it fit just perfect! Since my Civic is gray I ordered the mat in gray and looks like a factory option. The price was right, too. Compared to other after-market cargo mats. Seems the delivery was awfully quick also. I'm very, very satisfied with this product!
