1999 Mercedes E Class Custom Tail Lights

These are nicely designed and engineered. However, the fit is imperfect as they don't quite sit flush. The lights are bright, but it would be better to have a little more side and upward visibility (LED's are very unidirectional). They provide resistors on the leads, and they run very hot! In fact they run so hot that the installation backing melts. Be careful where you place the resistor packs. As far as I can tell the heat does not run down the wires, so the insulation is not at risk of melting. If the fit were a little better and there were a few more LED's to shine out in additional directions, I'd give higher marks. Nonetheless, they transformed haggard looking tail lights into very new ones and gave the rear end an almost new appearance.
