The function of the hood deflector is to ricochet insects away from your windshield and hood. Besides being a functional accessory, it also gives your vehicle custom look. The AVS Bugflector II is made of impact-resistant acrylic that shields your hood and windshield from rocks, gravel and other debris. This custom-built application will perfectly fit your vehicle. No-drill installation is quick and easy, the accessory is mounted onto the hood with 3M tape or mechanical fasteners (depending upon the vehicle). In order to protect hood paint from rubbing, the set includes several bumpons, which are applied to the hood during the installation. Vehicle equipped with Bugflector II can be car-washed safely, unless it is automatic "brush-style" car wash. The accessory can be easily removed from the hood for simple cleaning. The set includes installation instructions and required hardware.

C. - 2005 Dodge Dakota (Huntington, NY)Appearance Ease of Installation Price/Value Quality "I ordered a Bufflector II hood shield (front mount) for my very sharp 2005 Dakota, along with the roll bar steps that attach on either side of the truck just below the doors. I ran into a financial scare that forced me cancel the order. CARiD is a company of their word. I hope to be able to order the bug deflector's in the not too distant future as I understand this is not going to be a good season of bugs attacking our trucks - thank you CARiD for your understand, your patience, understanding and your prompt response in refunding my money.
