Flowmaster, the masters of performance mufflers and exhaust systems since 30 years, have decided to also offer street legal, high quality, replacement catalytic converters to the market. The catalytic converters are engineered for long life and reliable performance. When you install a Flowmaster Catalytic Converter you avoid the irritation that low quality converters can cause by frequently lighting up the MIL symbol on your dash, requiring equally frequent service appointments to check the codes and make the relevant adjustments. The Flowmaster converters are engineered and built in the U.S.A., using only first grade materials, to the high quality standard required to get the Flowmaster trademark stamped into the casing.
The outer shells are made in stainless steel of the highest automotive grade. The interiors of the converters feature strata that carry catalytic substrates with high loads of noble metals, making sure that the converters perform to exceed the USEPA standards. The strata themselves are of OEM or higher quality, ensuring that they last and can endure the vibrations and stress even in hard driving conditions. As Flowmaster is the master of gas flow, you can also rest assured that the exhaust gases flow through the converters with minimum possible restrictions for maximum possible performance. If and when you need to replace your catalytic converter, get a converter with the Flowmaster stamp. There is no better.90.35Brand: Flowmaster Part Number: 2050001 UPC: 700042027101
FlowmasterŽ has its roots in solving the engine noise problems encountered by California racers in the 1980s. In 1983 Flowmasters founder, Ray Flugger, created his first patented design of racing silencers, which dampened noise with minimal loss of power. Ray attached handles to ease carrying the square shaped race mufflers through the race pits, and the mufflers became known as the "suitcase mufflers." Today, the innovative Flowmaster mufflers are the result of years of development with top race engine builders, thousands of hours of dyno research and "real-world" on-track testing.FlowmasterŽ - Direct Fit Stainless Steel Catalytic Converter Reviews (8)Customers' rating: 4.5 OF 5APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY2013 Tacoma TRD Sport D/C| Posted by Joseph M. | 2013 Toyota Tacoma (Junction City, KS)
Money well-spent. Delivered on time with all necessary pieces. Installation was a breeze, only taking a few hours, and no helping hands were needed. Installation was conducted in the parking lot of my apartment complex after dark due to hot temperatures. Best of all, I didn't need to jack up the truck (no lift kit either). Instead I used my jack only to support the muffler throughout the process. After driving the first few times, I recommend going back under one last time to check the clamps and tips after heating up. Now my truck has a moderate powerful sounding rumble at start up idle and cruise speed. Was this review helpful for you? I received the exhaust within about two weeks of order. Installation only took about 2 or 3 hours, anybody with basic exhaust knowledge could install this easily. Overall, it gives my 2012 Tacoma a standout look and sounds even better. Also beefed up the performance a bit.Was this review helpful for you? The Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-Back system for my 2011 Toyota Tundra 4.6L fit perfectly, was an easy home install, and sounds wonderful! Performance is fine post-install. The 50's are tame enough to keep me in the good graces of neighbors, but aggressive enough to make me and my sons Love listening to the engine instead of the radio. Clamps require more torque/muscle than my standard ratchet gave me (had to use a cheater), but other than that, the quality ss awesome, install easy, and CARiD was super easy to deal with. Great mod.Was this review helpful for you? YesNo(5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITYLove It!!!| Posted by Jasmine B. | 2004 Toyota Tundra (Brushton, NY)
I was skeptical ordering something like this online but it came right when it was suppose to. My husband (who is far from a mechanic) installed it himself in a few hours with no problems. His truck sounds amazing. I would definitely recommend this product and company. Was this review helpful for you? I don't know how easy it was to install, I just took it to a muffler shop and had it put on for 60 bucks. It sounds good, almost no interior cab resonance but it feels like there's slightly more torque available. nowWas this review helpful for you? it took me about 3 or so hours to completely remove the factory exhaust and install this kit on my 2010 tacoma. however this was also the first exhaust anything i have ever done. the instructions were easy to follow however and explained every step in clear detail. kit sounds amazing especially when you upgrade the intake like i did. truck sounds like a Hoss now even with it being just a V6 4.0 liter engine. ;)Was this review helpful for you?
