Chevy Blazer 4.3L F/I 1996-2005, 57 Series Generation II Air Intake Kit by K&N®. This kit improves airflow into your engine. It includes a K&N air filter and a custom designed air intake tube. The K&N filter increases the airflow and the intake tube smoothes that airflow into the engine. The result is more horsepower and torque, and better acceleration you can feel. Street legal in all States. Estimated Horsepower Gain: 7.42 HP - 4671 RPM.
Features:
The K&N 57 Series Generation II Air Intake Kit improves intake airflow from the air filter all the way to the throttle body. The system starts with the world famous K&N high flow air filter. K&N uses the largest conical shaped air filter that will fit in the engine compartment. The large increase in filter area over the stock airbox filter results in a huge increase in airflow and a greater capacity to capture and hold dirt.
The filter is attached to a precision molded intake tube that connects the filter to the throttle body. The tube is precisely designed to reduce turbulence and accelerate airflow into the engine. The rotationally molded intake tube is made from interlaced high density Polyethylene, reducing intake air temperature from similar metal tubes. Intake air temperature is further reduced by a heat shield that isolates the filter from the engine compartment. The reduction in air intake temperatures results in a cooler, denser air intake charge and even more horsepower.
K&N uses a dynamometer to design its air intake kits to make the most horsepower possible. But their power figures aren't based on just one vehicle, but rather an average of runs by a number of vehicles. This means repeatable numbers and horsepower claims you can count on.
Every 57 Series Generation II Air Intake Kit comes complete with everything necessary for installation, including comprehensive installation instructions. All adapters are manufactured from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon, to ensure long life. The K&N filter can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required. And the K&N air filter is guaranteed for one million miles.

Installation was a little ruff, but I still got it within an hour and a half. It looks nice on the engine and sounds great at higher RPM. Performance is great now. I noticed a nice boost in acceleration.

It took some time to install but from seeing my other friends cars. Mine has by far got the best intake it sounds good and it def added more torque to the lower end.

The intake is great!!! I'm paranoid so I had help but the install was easy even for a novice. Looks Awesome with the HUGE filter and chrome like pipe. Noticed marginal acceleration gain right away and great new sound!!! Great show piece and an overall must have. I also bought Vertical Doors for the car off this site in May 2010, so will talk about them briefly here. Great show piece the car gets a ton of attention and stands out more than may exotics. NOT a job for a layman, I took it to a shop. They say bolt on but its still a very involved process. Hinges vibrate loose once every 6 or 8 months and simply need to be readjusted, so be ready for hefty maintenance costs. DON'T let anyone who doesn't know exactly what they are doing open or close the door at all EVER because grinding metal on metal and other issues abound. Not a good car to valet with these doors. However for all the hassle they come with they are unique, super good looking, and totally worth it!!!
