The K&N 57 Series Generation II Air Intake Kit improves intake airflow from the air filter all the way to the throttle body. The system starts with the world famous K&N high flow air filter. K&N uses the largest conical shaped air filter that will fit in the engine compartment. The large increase in filter area over the stock airbox filter results in a huge increase in airflow and a greater capacity to capture and hold dirt.

The filter is attached to a precision molded intake tube that connects the filter to the throttle body. The tube is precisely designed to reduce turbulence and accelerate airflow into the engine. The rotationally molded intake tube is made from interlaced high density Polyethylene, reducing intake air temperature from similar metal tubes. Intake air temperature is further reduced by a heat shield that isolates the filter from the engine compartment. The reduction in air intake temperatures results in a cooler, denser air intake charge and even more horsepower.

K&N uses a dynamometer to design its air intake kits to make the most horsepower possible. But their power figures aren't based on just one vehicle, but rather an average of runs by a number of vehicles. This means repeatable numbers and horsepower claims you can count on.

Every 57 Series Generation II Air Intake Kit comes complete with everything necessary for installation, including comprehensive installation instructions. All adapters are manufactured from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon, to ensure long life. The K&N filter can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required. And the K&N air filter is guaranteed for one million miles.

"Installed the K&N 63 Series on my Ford F-150 V8 5.0L. Easy to install. The sound of the engine is much better (sound deeper on acceleration). I cannot comment on fuel mileage improvement as I switch the tires to 33". I went for a long drive on the highway and the mileage is pretty much the same. So I guess it would have been worst without the K&N. Thumbs up to CARiD... Great price, great product and fast delivery. Special thanks to Jerry who helped me out a lot."

"Looks and fit great. You have to cut the PCV tubing to make it work. Increased the power of the truck but not the fuel economy."
