Replace Accessories

Pontiac Sunbird 1993-1994, Fuel Pump Module Assembly by Replace®. The fuel pump module assembly is mounted in the fuel tank and includes the electric fuel pump, fuel strainer and fuel gauge sending unit. No or low fuel pressure may be caused by a faulty pump, which would in turn cause a no-start condition or misfiring and surging. A faulty sending unit will not enable the dash gauge to indicate the correct amount of fuel in the tank. If testing proves that your fuel module is faulty, don’t pay the high dealer price for a replacement, when you can get an OE quality fuel pump module assembly for much less from Replace.

Electronic fuel injection systems operate at very high fuel pressures. The electric fuel pump must be able to consistently supply fuel at pressure as high as 75 psi or more. The typical pump has an impeller attached to the end of the motor shaft that draws in fuel from one end and pushes it out at the other end of the pump. Older systems used a fuel pressure regulator on the engine and a return line to send excess fuel back to the tank. Newer systems have an internal pressure relief valve that dumps excess pressure right back into the tank. The fuel gauge sending unit consists of a float connected to a variable resistor. As the fuel is used and the level falls in the tank, the float drops, which in turn reduces the current sent to the gauge from the variable resistor, causing the fuel gauge needle to also fall. A properly functioning fuel pump module is critical to the performance of an electronically fuel injected vehicle.

In the past if you needed a fuel pump module assembly you had to pay for an expensive replacement from the dealer. Today you can fix your car or truck properly and have money left in your pocket with a quality replacement fuel pump module assembly from Replace. Replace offers OE quality fuel pump module assemblies at less than original equipment prices. You get the same quality part that you’d get at the dealer without the high dealer price. A Replace fuel pump module assembly will look, fit and function just like a fuel pump module assembly from the dealer, so the fuel system in your car or truck will perform properly. Replace fuel pump module assemblies are designed using the latest software so they exactly replicate the OE units, then they’re manufactured using the most modern tooling, so the end product looks, fits and functions exactly as designed.

Repairing your car or truck is expensive enough without paying more than necessary for quality parts. A Replace fuel pump module assembly is the sensible alternative to the high dealer price markup. A Replace fuel pump module assembly will get your car or truck operating perfectly again, without breaking the bank. Replace is so confident in the quality of its parts that they’re backed by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which the part is installed.

When selecting the Replace® component that is right for your model from the Product Options list, you may be offered a choice of Good, Better or Best. Good may be a part manufactured by a different company than the one that made the original part, but because it's based on the same design, it will look and function identically to the OE part. Better may be a part made by a brand name manufacturer and Best may be a part made by the same manufacturer that made the original part. Some parts labeled Best bear the seal of the Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA), an independent, non-profit organization that oversees a testing program to guarantee the quality of automotive parts. CAPA certified replacement parts meet the industry's toughest standards. But regardless of how the part is labeled, have confidence that whichever one you choose, it will appear and function to your satisfaction.
