1988 Pontiac Firebird Custom Hoods

The hood looks good on my 88 Firebird, and is super light, but it does have its set backs. First, when i ordered the hood my estimated delivery date was may 7th...because of where i live (which isn't that hard to access) i had to wait about an extra week for it to deliver because they put the shipment through to a secondary shipping company. Second, this swap took me about 8 hours to complete...the headlights, brackets, hinges etc all had to be moved several times in order for the hood to be flush with the rest of the car. Third, this was stated by other people easy enough to do by yourself, but because of the previous complications required a second person much of the time. Fourth, the holes for the hood to be bolted onto the hinges were pre-drilled and there for about 1/2 inch off the mark, so i had to drill new holes. Fifth, the required hole for the hood latch to go into was not cut and therefore i had to cut it myself, which was the same for the back of the cowl for it to vent heat. Overall i would give the hood a 3.5 star rating, it is a bit overpriced for the needed time and effort, worth maybe $375 in my opinion.
