GMC Safari 1985-2005, Weatherbeater™ Wiper Blade by Rain-X®. Clearly see the road regardless of the weather with Weatherbeater Wiper Blades. The Weatherbeater frame is designed with multiple pressure points to apply even pressure across the length of the blade, for a smooth, clean wipe. The embedded friction reducers ensure that the blade will conform to the unique shape of your windshield, for complete clearing. Constructed from galvanized steel, the Weatherbeater frame resists rust and corrosion for long lasting durability. The natural rubber squeegee resists cracking, splitting and tearing caused by heat, cold, windshield washer fluid and salt.
A Weatherbeater blade comes with everything required for quick and easy installation. It comes with a small J-hook adapter pre-installed and contains a multi-adapter for side pin, large J-hook and bayonet wiper blade arms.

2206 Beetle UpdateDecember 3, 2012 | Posted by Dave A. | 2010 Volkswagen Beetle (Holbrook, AZ)Well, I received a reply from the factory, and the universal adapter is the same one you use on the post type arm. (Has the 3 slots on it). So, it is actually the J4x9 large hook instructions that you use. Not the J3x9 small hook as their website says the Beetle takes. Using this method isn't illustrated very well. So I take back the bad review and will eat crow. Guess I have spares now.
