Goodmark Accessories

Dodge Challenger 1970-1974, Amber Parking Light Lens by Goodmark®. The header panel is located at the front of a car or truck. It can be just a small sheet metal panel on some vehicles or a large panel to which most of the front end pieces attach on others. In its position at the front of your classic or muscle car, the header panel is subject to damage from gravel, stones and debris thrown up by other vehicles and from even the slightest collision. To make sure the front end of your classic goes together right, you need a reproduction header panel from the restoration experts at Goodmark.

A header panel can be a small sheet metal panel located between the hood and grille, but on many cars and trucks the header panel extends from fender to fender across the front of the vehicle, and houses the grille, headlights and parking lights. Whatever its configuration on your classic, after 40 or 50 years your header panel has probably seen better days. So whether you just want to repair some damage or you’re doing a total restoration, treat your baby to the best, a quality reproduction header panel from Goodmark.

Restoring cars isn’t just a business for the people at Goodmark, they’re also car enthusiasts and restorers just like you, and they wouldn’t make anything they wouldn’t install on their own cars or trucks. Each header panel is CAD/CAM designed to make sure it exactly replicates the original part, and then it’s manufactured with the most modern tooling. Each design is test fit to make sure it looks and fits perfectly. Many Goodmark parts have been approved by the manufacturers of the original equipment and are licensed to be sold as genuine replacement parts.

A Goodmark header panel is an authentic reproduction, made to the same specifications as the original part. Correct in every detail, it will make your car look just as it did the day it came from the factory. And to make sure the restoration of this area of your car is complete; Goodmark has grilles, lights, emblems and moldings to finish the job right. Each part is faithfully reproduced for concours appearance and quality.

Goodmark® was founded in 1991 by car enthusiasts, restorers and collectors just like you. They recognized that there was a need for quality restoration parts, especially sheet metal parts, if the restoration of our beloved American classics was to continue. Since that time, Goodmark has created a complete line of sheet metal, trim parts, and accessories for popular cars like the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang, and for previously difficult to restore cars like the Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Barracuda. Goodmark uses CAD/CAM (computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing) software and modern tooling and manufacturing techniques to create parts that are identical to factory original for perfect fit and finish. Quality parts tooled and manufactured by Goodmark are enabling many more American classic and muscle cars to return to the road, looking just as fine as the day they rolled off the assembly line.

Find out everything you need to know about the product warranty

Goodmark warranties its parts to you the original purchaser, to be free from defects in manufacturing and materials for a period of 120 days from the original date of purchase. You must notify Company by phone, email or writing within the warranty period to make a claim. Goodmark also will require pictures of the defect prior to a claim being filed. Liability of Goodmark under this warranty is limited to the replacement of the defective part or a refund of the purchase price of the product. Goodmark hereby disclaims all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, including but not limited to all warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Goodmark is not responsible for damage caused by abuse, incorrect installation, modification, shipping, accidents or normal wear; nor is Goodmark responsible for labor charges, inconvenience or other expenses related to installation or use of Company products.

Goodmark Sheet Metal FYI Due to the nature of the material and production, the sheet metal products you receive may have scratches, dings, small dents and other minor imperfections which are considered normal. These imperfections will easily be corrected during the initial filling, priming and sanding of your repair or restoration. Goodmark does not consider dings, minor dents, scratches in the EDP primer or any other minor imperfection to be defective or damaged. ALL sheet metal panels will require some preparation and manipulation during the install process for a show quality fit and finish. Goodmark recommends that all sheet metal panels should be test fit before any prep work or paint is applied. Minor modifications such as elongating mounting holes, adding shims, etc, are normal and may be necessary when you are installing the product. A few key facts to note are: Some driving conditions such as racing can put added stress on a vehicle's frame causing it to twist out of the factory's original tolerance specs. Poorly performed body work from a previous collision or restoration can cause problems with the body structure to which the panels are attached. A vehicle that has been sitting motionless, collecting rust, etc. for years may have developed a slumping frame, especially a sub framed car, which can cause fitment issues when installing new sheet metal products such as floor pans, fenders, doors and quarter panels. The above mentioned situations are just a few key examples that can cause sheet metal panels to be misaligned during a repair or restoration. One other fact to consider is the tolerances on a classic vehicle were not nearly as exact as they are on today's modern vehicles. The primary reason is the assembly of most vintage or classic cars was performed by hand, not by the robotics that are used in today's modernized facilities. Because of this, the mounting points and bolt-holes were unique to each vehicle. Due to the above procedures performed in the past there really is no such thing as a direct, "bolt on" body panel when it comes to older vehicles. Goodmark recommends that you hire a licensed professional that possesses the proper tools, knowledge, skills and experience necessary to install the new panels on your vehicle. A professional can anticipate or repair any imperfections your panels may have prior to installation. Prior to returning any defective body panel or sheet metal item to Goodmark, please contact Company customer service department. You will be required to send us a digital picture of all defects before you receive an RGA. Goodmark will not replace a panel should it be deemed that the panel is not defective, nor will we give compensation for labor fees associated with installation.
