The 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV leapfrogs its rivals with a greatly increased driving range that comes courtesy of an upgraded battery pack. The engineers at the General Motor managed to boost the Bolt’s range without making any physical changes to the power source. The improvement was achieved by making every electrode more energy-dense. Without any parts being redesigned, the battery pack remains the same size and weight. Although it got more driving range, Chevrolet’s electric crossover offers the same 200 horsepower and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in about six seconds. The model is available with DC fast charging.

The suspension system was also improved. Now, the rear axle is a torsion beam instead of a previously available multi-link setup. Just like before, the model runs on standard 17-inch aluminum-allow wheels wrapped in all-season rubber. Disc brakes are on all four wheels ensuring a safe ride with smooth stops. As far as styling is concerned, the 2020 Bolt EV probably looks a lot like the previous version with sleek exterior lines and many attractive accessories. The exterior got no upgrades, save for two new colors (Oasis Blue and Cayenne Orange Metallic). Once inside the cabin, the first thing you’ll notice is a large touchscreen interface. While there were no interior changes made to the model for 2020, there weren’t many improvements to be made. The interior is surprisingly versatile.
